The energy bodies responsible for setting the benchmark ceiling prices have announced the Default Offers for 2024-25. These are the highest prices (price caps) that can be charged to energy customers within the relevant areas of jurisdiction.
You will need to know your location and energy distributor to identify the default offer that applied to where you live.
Australian Energy Regulator (AER): QLD, NSW, ACT, SA & TAS
Essential Services Commission (ESC): VIC
Network Energy Services will support communities in reviewing consumer pricing to ensure compliance with the relevant default offers, while ensuring the best possible outcome for consumers can be achieved in relation to electricity on-selling.
